It's been a few days, I'm really not getting the whole blogging thing down that well, but I'm trying to keep up with interesting things for my only two followers so far. I'm thinking, I just need more time on my hands to sit and write.. I have lots to share, but no time to put it into words like I want.
So if there's anyone out there the soon follows, please ask questions and leave comments.. I think I do better when I know there's readers that what and listen to what I want to share about my life with my first grand baby. Yes, I'm single, but I have an ex husband who loves and wants to be a big part of this babies life as much as I do, so you will occasionally see him in videos or hear me refer to him as pawpa or pawpa Chris. I'm looking back at some videos of Kaylee, and I'm going to share some with you in this blog, some of them you can tell she was only 4 to 6 months in age and some are current. I just wanted to share some more info about this wonderful baby, I call my angel.
Just so you'll know, I don't smoke.. I was trying to imitate my dogs gagging which made Kaylee laugh this way. It tickled me, so I hope will put a smile on you as well. .
I know this video put the biggest smile on my face, she finally said Nana for the first time, I wanted Nawna... but I'll settle for Nana.. it's cute and that's what she wants to call me. :*)

The worm that got away
Omgosh, I know it's been a few days since I've been on my blogging about Kaylee, she just hasn't been over in a couple of days, but the last day she was here, I did capture her on video discovering a worm. It was funny and interesting.
I'll upload the video, but I wanted to share with you that I'm also working on something that I think will be special for her mommy and daddy.. I can't post it here just yet cause mommy reads my blog.. she hasn't yet become a follower, but I'm sure she will in time. Well, I know she follows and reads what I post she just hasn't signed up yet.
I've got a good day planned tomorrow for Kaylee and I... just hope it stays pretty outside so we can go outside tomorrow. I will say we have another walk planned for the day... not sure what will come of it, I just know I hope it turns out as planned.
Well, I hope you all like the video. I haven't forgotten to write the good times down, just been working on some things, and Kaylee wasn't here today. I'm going to call it a night so Good night all! Enjoy!

Well, yesterday wasn't such a good day for me... I stay tired all day and it rained most of the day, but I made it through. I had written a lot about Kaylee last night I couldn't sleep, like tonight as well so I've decided early to start writing a bit about my first year with Kaylee, a bit early. I guess one of my followers got bored, but I hope to not let anyone else down who comes my way. I've been tired, and well, now I can't sleep.. so I write.
We've almost made it through our first year together, Kaylee and I. Her birthday is coming up, it's May 7, 2010. I know the first year is always the most important year to bond with a child. Ive been so fortunate to spend most of my time with Kaylee in her first year. I really shouldn't write about the first year together until her birthday, cause I want to make a complete and accurate blog of our whole year together, and it gets my readers excited about reading what I have to say about Kaylee and our first year together... It's going to be a different blog...
so, In the last two days, I've come to realize how close she has become to me. I already knew how special and close she and I would become from the day she was born.
Two days ago her step-grandmother came to pick her up, like any other normal day, and Kaylee didn't want to leave with her. Kaylee bowed up and she had to practically pull her away from me.. Kaylee was throwing her first actual fit and didn't want to leave with her, she kept grabbing at me to take her. I picked her up from the other grandmother and gave her a kiss and told her it was okay, and I would see her again in a couple of days. I gave her back to the other grandmother but with her crying frantically.. it broke my heart.
We had the day apart, and I felt an emptiness inside. She had her day with the other grandmother, well step grandmother, and I'm going to admit that she loves Kaylee, as if, Kaylee was her own. She doesn't have any real children of her own. Well okay, I get her back the next day and we have a beautiful and better day that day. I'm still trying to help her walk. I didn't have much luck with it that day. Something has made her fearful of taking those first couple of steps again. I'm not sure if she has fallen or just gave up all together right now, I think she's going to have to work up that nerve again, but she seems fearful again. Okay so the beautiful day wasn't much exciting as most days, so we are back at the leaving again for the day.. and you guessed it, another day of being reluctant to leave with the other grandmother. She cried when I handed her off, so I had to turn my back and just walk back inside the house.
Friday and a new day, I wasn't so prepared as I have been most of the week when she had gotten here. I usually get up have her an egg poached and a piece of toast ready with grape jelly, but the morning I woke up late. But all and all, I got straight up and into the routine rather quickly. We had breakfast, but unlike most days, we didn't do our lay down nap together, I decided to take her out for a ride and she took a nap in the car listening to the symphony channel, I got some lunch, she was still asleep, we went to wal-mart and she had some fast food today... which is something I never ever usually do, but she loves french fries. I gave her a few of mine to pass her over until we got back home.
I bought her some shoes and some summer outfits.. I'll have some pictures to post before I finish posting today, but she loves to shop, so we have a lot in common with the shopping hahaha! So we managed to spend about an hour shopping and then off to home we go. When we got here, I fed her a usual dinner of Gerber's mac and carrots withf peas.. she loves em. Then we got back into the routine of the day, she had her bath and we dress up in the new clothes, went outside to stroll a bit and took some photos, it was beautiful outside today.. no rain!
I want to leave with a beautiful quote I found on another website about grandchildren:
It's such a grand thing to be a mother of a mother - that's why the world calls her grandmother. ~Author Unknown

getting right to the point...
I'm learning a bit more of writing the blog stuff, and yes, I say it this way because I'm very southern, heck, I'm a southern Arkansas girl. But, I have time on my hands today, because I don't have my little darling, Kaylee.
First, I want you to know that I found some research last night about writing blogs. I want to be simple and honest and open-hearted about my grand daughter. I've learned that the kind of writing that I want to do is an inspirational writing of her. She is my inspiration, and I hope you can get information of how things work for me and her.. it may NOT necessarily work for you. I'd like my readers to use me as a learning tool as well.
I've had three children and so far all three, are very good children. They haven't gotten into any major problems, no drug use, no criminal miss jiff. My oldest girl, Ashley, the mother of Kaylee, is married to a wonderful guy, I'll call Kennedy.. not his real name. They didn't have a big wedding, but they have been happily married now for about 4 years, I believe, and she's 23. My son is 19 and a workaholic and sits on the money he makes.. lets all agree that there's nothing wrong with that. And last but not least, I have Holly, we call her Holly Dolly, Hosey and just plain Hose. I call her Holly. She's fifteen and is blossoming so quickly into a beautiful young women, and I'm a little worried that she's worried that she's not looking like the other girls her age in her school by being skinny and, what she calls, very pretty. I told her last night that she was very beautiful, thin enough, and not to worry about being like those other girls cause they are not perfect. We all know there is only one perfect and that is GOD! I think she listened to me.. .she got up had a poached egg and took some crackers with her to snack and and for the first time of this year she's going having school lunch. I'm so glad of that.
Okay, so now I have Kaylee to do all these wonderful things with all over again. She's just now turning 1, so I have 17 more years to share with whom ever wants to follow and learn what they can from me. If I don't have an answer, I will find one the best I can. I love to write, I hope that you can read through some of my slang without being intimidated. I welcome anyone who would like to help critique my writing. Like I said, I'm a new, very new blogger, and my inspiration is my grand baby and I hope to help anyone along the ride. Hop aboard, enjoy, and I'm sure at times it could be boring; but I should get better as I go. Please comment, I'd love to hear what you think, and I welcome ideas that I haven't yet tried that could be beneficial for a better up-bringing for Kaylee, at least, while she's in my care.
Thank you,
Jamie

I..........
I am a kind and generous soul
I think the world of my children and grand baby
I want to live to be 100 years old
I have a lot to live for
I dislike it when other people talk about other people as if they are better than them
I miss it when my grand baby isn't with me on the weekends
I fear that I may not die before any of my children or grand children
I feel sad for children that doesn't have parents or grand parents that love them
I hear the fan blowing from across the room
I smell my perfume from the day
I crave white chocolate fudge covered Oreo s they only have them at Christmas time
I cry when I see someone else crying
I search for bargain's on baby clothes
I wonder why people are so cruel to animals
I regret not being able to tell my mother that I loved her before she died
I wish I could turn back time, especially to the day my first child was born
I love my children and grand baby, Kaylee
I care more about myself each day since my grand baby was brought into the world
I always try to say my prayers every night before I go to sleep
I am a different person than I was 5 years ago
I believe life is too short to not live it the way you want to
I sing to 80's music
I don't miss a day of reading, at least, one story
I argue very little these days, I've learned it usually gets you no where
I write my thoughts, and about my grand daughter, it's good therapy
I win most of the time at spades, it's one of my favorite card games to play
I lose my reading glasses all the time, oh and car keys
I listen to all types of music, but mostly 80's retro
I don't know why there has to be hunger anywhere in the world
I can draw and paint
I need a haircut
I forget nieces and nephews birthdays after the fourth one.
I am happy with my life
I am thankful to be alive
I am a kind and generous soul

Oh my gosh, what a weekend, better yet what an Easter. I had a great one, hope all is good for everyone else. I woke up for Easter rise services, and went to get my daughter's boyfriend to come with us and by the time we got half way there the sun was coming up so my husband turns around and brings us back home, so we didn't make it to that one, I was so looking forward to that.. the highlight of my morning, but we did make it to the 8 o'clock service... FANTASTIC service.
My little grand daughter looked like an angel, I'll post a photo for you all to see :*) We went to my husband's mom and dad's and then we made it to my families house, WOW! what a time. It was the first time our family got together in years, but it was a blast. All the grand babies and nieces and nephews are all grown up. I just realized yesterday that I know have great nieces and nephew's it's so hard to believe, man how time flies.
Okay for the first day after Easter with Kaylee, it was a joy, I can't believe she's going to be a year old in 1 month, actually it will be in 1 month and two more days. She's still afraid to let go and walk, but my goal tomorrow is to try my best to get her take a few more steps than 1 or 2. I was still a little tired from the weekend, but she was in a great mood today... it was everything I could do to keep up with the sweet darling. She's always happy and seems to hardly ever cry unless she wants me to hold her then she just whines a bit. It's really hard to explain how it feels to have a grand baby for those of you who haven't experienced that feeling and joy of having one yet, all I can say is WOW, she's the best thing that's happened to me in years. She helped me get through a two year long depression and self esteem issues I was beginning to have from getting older and fatter LOL!
Well, I meant to get on here last night to gear you guys up for a more exciting day with Kaylee than today, but tomorrow is an all new day. I'm calling it a night, I have to get up 8:00 am for precious girl. Hope you all have a good night and hope you enjoy the pictures I'm posting, I haven't posting them on Face book so you'll be the first to see them. Good Night.
